THIS IS HOPE: FEELING SAFE AGAIN
Family outings were always a double-team approach for Natasha and her husband, Jimmy. She’d handle the planning while Jimmy was always the safe presence that kept everyone feeling protected.
When Jimmy died, Natasha lost that sense of safety for herself and her three kids. The first time she took the family out of town by herself, things didn’t go according to plan and she ended up so frustrated and consumed with grief that she canceled the trip and took the family back home.
Then, at a group night earlier this year, Natasha shared that last summer she and the kids had taken several trips – including just the four of them camping at the Grand Canyon! Next up is Alaska.
While we were doing a “Past, Present, Future” activity, Natasha shared that she is feeling strong and optimistic about the future.
This is HOPE. 💜
