Host an Angel Tree
Bring people together for a great cause at work or at a family party! We’ll supply the giving tags, for example: $10 to cover a book in our grief resource lending library, or $20 to cover a Moose stuffed animal for a kid coming to Billy’s Place. You simply hang them from a tree (or feel free to get creative and hang them from something else). Just reply to this email to get started.
You can also go green by asking us for digital tags this year. Invite your people to choose a tag online via email or social media.

Give For Free: Maximize your AZ Charitable Tax Credit
Because Billy’s Place is a Qualifying Charitable Organization under the AZ Charitable Tax Credit program, when you donate up to $987 as a married couple who files taxes jointly and up to $495 as an individual, you can claim that money back, dollar-for-dollar on your AZ tax return!
In other words, you can give to Billy’s Place for free! It’s super easy, just follow these steps:
Make a non-cash (and tax-advantaged!) gift to Billy’s Place
There are many options for gifting assets that make a huge difference, including:
Contributing to a Donor Advised Fund, a charitable investment account where donors contribute various types of assets—including cash, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, private business interests, real estate, cryptocurrency, and other assets—and maximize tax benefits by allowing tax-free growth and strategic timing of donations.
Making a charitable distribution from an IRA (which can satisfy a Required Minimum Distribution). A charitable gift made as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows retirees to directly transfer up to $108,000 from their IRA to a charity, which counts toward their required minimum distribution (RMD) that takes affect at age 73, but is excluded from taxable income – reducing their adjusted gross income and potentially lowering their overall tax burden.
Leaving a gift to Billy’s Place in your will (a bequest), which can provide a tax advantage by allowing the estate to deduct the value of the charitable bequest – reducing the estate’s taxable value and potentially lowering estate taxes.
