Grief-Informed Schools Training (GIS)
Born out of the Grief-Sensitive Schools Initiative, GIS is a 6-hour comprehensive grief training program delivered by Billy's Place School Bereavement Liaisons. After training, schools receive ongoing support and additional resources to better understand and address the needs of grieving students.
Beyond the Hall Pass: Creating Safe Spaces for Grieving Students
A monthly virtual training series designed to give educators and school staff tangible, bite-sized tools they can use right away. Each session is one hour, packed with practical tips, space for authentic connection, and Q&A to make sure you walk away ready to support grieving students the very next day.
Children and Teens Grief Awareness Month (CGAM)
During November, we support schools through our CGAM #bethere campaign. The goal is to raise awareness for children's grief and show students how to #bethere for a grieving friend. We partner with schools to provide support through activities, t-shirts, posters, and other items. For more information contact karina@billysplace.me.
